Does anyone know the dimensions of the rear floorboard or floorboards in the low cowl 17-22 Tourings?
Were they one board with a cutout for the battery and a cover?
Or were they 2 pieces?
Langs sells a rear floorboard as a single unit with a small hole used to remove it.
I have seen some of these cars with 2 boards and some with 1 board being screwed down to the lips on the heel and foot kick panels and the left side with a cutout for the battery access and a cover for it.
I am building a 21 low cowl Touring and trying to make it close to the original style.
Thanks for any help and do appreciate any replies.
John, I have a very original low cowl U.S. made 1922 touring.
I will take some pics and dimensions and post them for you.

Steve
John, as promised; here are some pics I just took of my original rear floorboards.
Hope this helps.

Steve
John, some of the dimensions are not clear.
They are:
28 1/2" wide X 14" deep X 1/2" thick.
If you need more dimensions, please let me know.

Steve
Steve, thanks for the pics and dimemsions!
Question, can you tell if the rear seat heel panel that has the metal strip with the 6 screws in it made with the heel panel in one piece or is it a piece that is separate from the heel panel. My car is a 21 and I have found that since Ford used different body makers in that era there are some minor differences in the sheet metal as far as fit up goes.
Thanks and I do appreciate it.
John, the rear seat heal panel on my T is made in one piece.
The engine assembly date of my T is May 26, 1922.
I have NOT been able to locate any body identification letters or numbers so far.
Regards,
Steve
Thanks Steve. The rear seat heel panel on my 21 doesent have that wide of a lip like yours does.
So thats a good illustration of the differences in the sheet metal in that era.
When I got this body years ago it was about 80% complete as far as the sheet metal goes and over the years I have aquired the rest or pieces that will work.
When I restored my 1919 Roadster the sheetmetal body was mostly there less the chassis and that was pretty easy to locate.
The Touring is more of a challenge.
Your pics do give me a good idea of what I need to do though.
I appreciate it.
The rear seat panel on my car has a B stamped on it in the center so that means it must be a Beaudette body or at least most of it is.
