Hi Guys, I have been looking at buying a car off this company but have heard they are a scam, has any one dealt with.. Certified Salvage Vehicle Distribution Services Exchange or www.autosource.biz who sell reposed or salvage vehicles with a head office in Tulsa Oklahoma. If you can help let me know with a PM or email or just answer here, thank you for any help... Ray
A little further investigation on the internet should provide you with the answer. For instance, if a strange window pops up on my computer that appears official or appears to be from Microsoft, but still arouses my suspicion, I go to the search function and type in the name in the window and in most instances, it turns out to be a malicious site so I shutdown and restart the computer without opening the window.
In your case, go to the search window and type in all you know about the company you are investigating and if there are any complaints or scams, they are sure to come up. The answer is at your fingertips. Jim Patrick
Ray get a hold of Mike Bender in Tulsa, he may have some info on these guys. J
Hi Jim, I have typed in their name and it keeps coming up with more pages of departments of the company but no address or phone number, my son is pushing to buy a car off them using my money and shipping and I dont want to go down a dud road again... Ray
At least someone thinks it's a scam. The domain is registered to someone named Keila Saldavon in California. Take a look here:

Hi Dick, I see what you mean and thats not a good report. There was a few Salen Mustangs on their site for under $25K which sell for $100k plus here.
I would like to know now how they get all those photos of damaged cars on the site page. Ray
PS, Jerry, you at work or home as I was just about to ring you.
Another decent site to check the veracity of a wide variety of companies and people is www.ripoffreport.com
Thanks guys, I am going to book mark those sites for later use, the one in question also had lot of reasonable 66 to 68 mustang coupes for sale and I would have purchased one from them as I am in the market for one right now to fill a gap in the collection. Most of the ones I have looked at here all have rust.... Ray
Has anyone ever heard of a fixed price auction? Me neither.
If you peel this scam back what you get is a list of cars at insurance auction. Then you get to bid on them. I have attended several of these auctions over the years and can assure you these prices are bogus. We would bid on 4 or 5 cars and maybe get one. Sales required cash or money order at close and one had 30 days to remove the vehicle at our own expense. No warranty often no title just a bill of sale.
Example, why would an insurance company sell a $100K theft recovery Porsche for less than it's blue book value when they could sell it all day for full price? Please do not be naive about this too good to be true scam.
Ray, my rocket scientist neighbor bought an early Musty ragtop from Oklah off ebay several years ago, and it turned out to be a real bucket of rust. Regardless, he restored it for his daughter and she's still driving it.
If a '68 Cougar would fit your plan, he has one all ready to go but for paint. It's seen so little rain, he found the original build sheet under the carpet. Like most of us, he has too many other projects.

Hi Rick, My boy was looking for a Salen Mustang with me to pay for it as he wants it before I kick the bucket, he thinks I will spend his inheritance so he is always looking and if he throws in a cheap mustang for me he could get it, thats when this company turned up when we started looking under mustang clubs in California. the cost sounded good with $17k for his car and $3k for my new toy and $6k freight for both to here as there is not much money to play with.
We knew it was to good to be true so thats why I asked on here as you guys know the bad company's in the US like we know them here in Australia, thanks for all the info.... Ray
Beware there was some Saleens that were v6 cars.Just had the name and look, but not the "real" thing.
A friend had 1.Was a bad ride! but it was a v6.
I never could get the search function to work on that site.Strange.
John, on the theft recovery, the insurance co may have to use a rebuild title since it was probably totaled so they paid for it and gave the owner a new one. I looked at a less than 2 year old Chrysler convert that had been totaled and as I opened the drivers door here was a rebuild title sticker already from Idaho. It had been totaled twice in less than 2 years. I walked away. Jim
Is there a legit site to look around for prices on 3/4 ton trucks that are theft recovery or damaged? A salvage title does not bother me as long as the repair is sound.I run stuff till it wears out to a point it dont make any differnce.
