I was outside a little while ago and we had one of the greatest sunsets I have ever seen tonight. I took a few shots of it with my phone, here is what I saw.

Mike,
We were returning from a cross country meet in Geneva and noticed the beautiful sunset too!

Could the fire near Casper have spread some dust or smoke in the air?
We had great sunsets for a few years after Mt. Pinatubo blew its top.
From our deck tonight in Anacortes, WA. Looking out towards Victoria B.C. We thanked God for the beauty that surrounds us !!!

These pictures are great. I have one too, taken out of my front door.
Sunrise at my summer home in northern NY
The most beautiful sunsets that I have ever seen were when I was in Viet Nam in '70-'71. They were scarlet red many times. I have since learned that they were colored that way because of the many wood fired camp fires that were burning throughout the countryside. Thanks for those pictures guys. Dave
I spent a month in Guam one week in 1983, and saw a sunrise that made me realize the origin of a Japanese Naval flag.
I didn't see it again until a couple of years ago from right where I'm sitting now:
The one I saw in Guam was far more like the flag.
