To my understanding, if a motor was bad on a 1925 Model "TT", a 1926 motor would or could be installed. Question, A way to tell a 25 from a 26 other than the motor #. Reason, I need a right front fender and there seems to be a difference between the two years when ordering.
Others may jump in here with more info. But 25 & 26 Comercial front fenders are the same.......Look at Chaffin's online catalogue ,,,I think it shows the right ones for TT.....I hope this helps.....Carl
Grove they always used 25 lipped commercial fenders, never used 26-7 fronts on TT's even tho some folks do?
All 26-27 TTs continued using the 25 style front fenders, light mounts, shelves and fender brackets. Sometimes referred to as a "Commercial" fender, the 25 cars used the same fender. It can be identified by the bead rolling at the mud guard. The 25 and 26-27 TT fenders had the bead continue under the mud guard. The earlier fenders had the bead following the curve of the mud guard.
Ken -- What are you calling the mud guard? The splash apron? The Brits and Down Under folks call fenders mud guards, so that could be very confusing.
Ford called them Running Board Shields. I've heard them called mud guards and splash aprons. Take your pick.
I won't EVEN get into what the other guys call various parts. I mean really, aren't Bonnets worn on Sunday?
Thank you to all, very helpful.
