Yesterday was the third annual E vs W flathead only reliability run.
The side with the most cars registered by noon wins something (never figured out what).
Here's a link to a mess of pictures.
Two or three Ts drove in from Spokane.
I guess I'm a weenie...I drove my '40 Ford.
Nice to see a hundred old cars and no Chev V8s!

I should have mentioned that I travelled with a T speedster both ways.

Reminds me of when I was a kid and everyone would like that to setup the midnight drags out on some back road, In Arizona it was out at Sabino (SP?) Canyon Rd. Great fun back then.
Thanks for the info. Bob.

Bob

I think there should be a way to identify each other.
I drove my light brown '40 Ford coupe.
Woulda been nice to BS with y'all.
I guess I'm too much of a weenie to drive a T a hunnerd and fifty miles on freeways.
At least you guys from the east side can use two lane roads most of the way.
Maybe we can hook up next year.

Where was it??

Bob, that's a good looking 40. Never seen one that color.

I think that is Clayton Paddison's roadster right next to Bob's 40.

Wherever it was, it would have been a long trip in that jeep.

Thanks Stan...it was in Vantage.
East vs West (Wash.)
Most flatheads there by noon won something.
East always wins. They don't have to cross the mountains.
We're working on it though.
I got a couple guys to go who weren't there last year.
Lotsa fun.
Chris needs a big pat on the back!

Stan,

Looks like my car, but sadly is not :-(

I didn't make it for the 3rd year in a row now. My plan was to attend this year after my stellar trip to Bonneville, but the T has developed a really bad carburetor icing problem and I didn't have enough time to correct it before this run.

I am shooting for next year as I don't have any big trips just before and will have the time to sort everything out.
