Picked up an early carb and manifold at an auction this Saturday. Its patented 1914 Holley with only a single choke pull arm from the front. PM me if anyone is interested in it. trooper

1919-1920 Holley G. I picked up a couple at the Iola swap meet this summer for $5 each.

That one is 1916 - 1918 since it does not have the lower choke pull that came about in 1919 for starter equipped Fords. They are hard to sell at any price.

Got to the sale at 0730 and no one allowed inside till 0900. Mulling around outside we saw a T "huckster" (?) for $2750. Kinda weird, with a Pinto /4 speed installed, and a trailer full of parts with an un numbered 1917 block... probably a decent project.
The yellow job is a 1930 Chiseler model 77 with a custom 1 of 7 known bodies.
Inside were 100 foot long rows of $1.00 parts, $2.00 parts etc. One table was "fill the supplied BIG shoeboxes for $5.00. I bought a Dumore tool post grinder (runs) for the lathe for $20.00. Also picked up a NOS early steering quadrant with all new gears for $1.00!
After the 5th time through, the crowd cleared out quite a bit. Going back tomorrow. One BIG pile of T stuff for $750 and thatll get seperated tomorrow at noon if no one buys the package. 5 gallon buckets full of front wheel bearings, diff bearings, u joints etc... troop

The block had a JB weld repair, but several intact power units inside. Beater coils were $10.00 (!) yet really nice respoked ball bearing front wheels were $50. Tons of machine tools and Packard/Doozy parts.
1950 complete armature growler was $3.00, well tooled 9" Atlas lathe for $500, light Bridgeport mill $1200 with tools, and a jillion early hubcaps and radiator/gas caps for $1-$3 each.
The stuff shown here is a "$5.00 fill the box" deal. troop

Forgot to ad that I picked up a bread baking tin full of Ford and Champion "X" plugs (about 100) for $2.00. A box of 100 headlight bulbs for $5.00 troop

On the plugs alone, you got a great deal. Even if only one of them is good and 99 are junk, $2 for an X is not a bad price.

Why, why, why, do I always find out about this crap after it happens?!?!?!?!

Also picked up what appears to be a new old stock steering gear. Its a bit dirty, but the gears look like new and are a perfect fit! There is a 2 foot long stub shaft which appears to have been machine cut. Any ideas on the vintage? troop

That's an early 2-piece gear case--Used from 1909-1914. Don't think I'd call it "NOS" though. :-)
