I live in Simi Valley, CA and need my new spindle bushings reamed to size. If anyone local to me has a reamer I'll gladly pay to have it done or buy a twelve pack of your favorite refreshment.
My Coupelet resides in Bakersfield, CA right now and on the 29th of September I plan to be working on it so if anyone from Bakersfield has a reamer I could meet you.
PM me or email me at fbergski@yahoo.com
Thanks in advance
Why not just order a reamer for the size you require from ENCO machine tools?

Take spindles (with the new bushings installed)and the new king pins to a local auto machine shop with a Sunnen hone and have them hone them to fit. Dan
I could do both of those solutions but I'd rather give my money to a fellow T'er if possible.
Thanks
Spindles are .500 " . Ream bushings to .502"
You might also have to ream the inside flat edges of the bushings to let the axle fit into position. If you are really good at it you can use a single cut mill file to open up the gap. Notice that I didn't use the word Bastard file because it upsets some folks for me to use the word bastard. The word bastard is from ancient heraldry and depicts the direction of the sash. From the manner born you wear your sash over you heart and if not you are a bastard and must wear you sash the other way. The single cut mill file has its teeth going the wrong way and so is called a Bastard file.
My Aunt Maud from England always sent me a birthday tie with the stripes going the wrong way, what a lady . . . . ;~)
Ford bolts are 0.502". There is one maker who makes them that way ;) so you'd want to ream to 0.504" if those are the bolts you have. If this is the case, send them to me, cover the return postage, and I'll line ream them for you, no charge.

I bought the bolts from Lang's and I'll confirm the o.d. tonight with a micrometer. Bastard file works for me. As pressed in the spindles slide into the axle perfectly. Got lucky this time.
R.V. will contact you via email, thanks
Frank, that is not the way I heard that the file got it"s name. The master blacksmith said to his helper "Boy,hand me a file. No, that big bastard over there" Dan
Two blokes in a pub. One says, "Your round." The other says, "So are you, ye fat bastard."
I don't think any file was involved.
Did some research and I found an old post on the forum that showed two gentlemen reaming a spindle on a engine lathe.
I have a .500 reamer at work and twenty five lathes to choose from so I guess I'll try it myself.
Thanks
