I noticed this in the Hemming's email today, it should add some comments for a week.

Only $10 a qt.!
The 15W-50 is only $70 for five quarts!
I am gonna switch over from the $3.50 a quart Accel 10-40 that I have been using in my cars and customers' flat tappet cars for 4 years.
No need to blow $15 for five quarts of the new Quaker State Defy that is good for flat tappet cars AND cars with catalytic converters when I can buy Hemmings' oil.
Remember, synthetic blend means there has to be at least 10% synthetic oil in every quart.
Such a deal!

I guess they have to makeup for sagging sales of their catalog.
They will no doubt sell the hell out of it.
There are still people who believe you get what you pay for.
I am not doubting the quality of the oil, I'm sure it is just great stuff, afterall, it has to meet the same SAE requirements that the cheap stuff does.
I just doubt that $70 for 5 quarts of 15W-50 is getting what you pay for.
How many of those 3, 4 and 5 thousand dollar cars made in the twenties are still around? How many were still around in 1937? Not many.
