I am looking to buy a good set of wood wheels either 30 or 21. I need all 4 with rims and hubs. Then of course, I will need tires as well.

I was looking to buy a set from ebay that were located in Illinois but the fellow that had them didn't want to ship them.

He said it they didn't sell he would put a shipping calculator on his relisted auction. However they sold in the 1st auction so I am still looking.

If anyone has a GOOD set they want to sell I could be a potential buyer.

Daryl,
Not meaning to sound flippant or anything like that but the MTFCA Classifieds are perfectly designed to meet your needs. And the huge majority of club members don't even use a computer but they ALL read the Vintage Ford classifieds. Respectfully submitted. . . .

Now that I've assembled a couple of wheels with the Regan press, I doubt that I'll ever buy another steel-felloe wheel. There's work involved of course, but making a wheel with new spokes is a pretty simple project. You might want to consider finding some hubs and felloes and buying some new Stutzman spokes to make your own wheels. Then you know the spokes are good.

Thanks I looked for classifieds but couldn't find them.

I was looking for a home button or classified section without success. However I removed most of the web address leaving only mtfca.com and presto I found the classifieds

Thanks for the advice Steve. That sounds like it could run into money though.

I was considering new wheels but they seem expensive as well.

Spokes for two wheels cost me $152, shipping included. The hubs and felloes were $10 each or less, picked up at swap meets and auctions. Using mostly scraps, I think I spent about $30 on the press, and maybe that much for paint and sandpaper. The expensive part is rims. Good usable ones may cost up to $60.

I Think I have a set of 30" small drum wheels with rims I could put together from the load of stuff I just bought. My first impression of them was that they looked pretty good. They'll be going to the swap meet on the 30th in San Bernardino. They'll need cleaned up and painted to look good. I could maybe post pictures tomorrow or monday evening. The wheels are at work on my trailer.

Daryl

Since you live in Kansas, just find the parts you need and high tail it over to Steve's place. He will be more than happy to help show you how to put those wheels together.

Better yet, just wait a few months and head down to Chickasha. There are always wheels there.
