I am from York, PA and came across 2 model Ts. I honestly have no clue about these vehicles but my wife and I would like to maybe purchase one if we can.

The years are a 1923 and a 1926.

The one is a 2 door convertible in very nice shape but it doesn't run. I was told by the owner that the motor is good but just needs a good person to figure out why it will not start.

The next one is a 4 door hard top. It is in really nice shape and did run but has not been ran in sometime.

Any opinions on both of them?

Can anyone tell me if there is anyone near York, PA that is trustworthy enough to look at these for me and also could work on them? You could email me at lwiker@aol.com if you know of someone in my area.

Thanks for any help!

Doug

York, PA

Doug, here is a link to the two MTFCA chapters in PA. It looks like the closest is about 70 miles from you. Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't Model T guys closer. Perhaps someone will see your forum post and respond.

4 door hard top is a heavy car, but at least you are inside if it rains and snows.

2 door convertible (roadster?) only holds 2 people.

Better off with a touring with side curtains.

Doug -- It sounds to me as if you need both of them. :-)

The Runabout is more fun to drive, and the Sedan is nicer when the weather is cold or wet. The Sedan also will haul more people.
