First,
For those of you who knew me -
I miss the hell out of you guys! I'm writing not knowing if I'm even allowed to post anymore! I just have a job that keeps me 50 hours plus on the laptop so by the time I can sit up straight I can't stand to be online.
Second,
Oh Joe Bulger has been at it again with his small town gossip. My dad let me know poor Jeanette can't make Hershey this year, and then he let Don Lang know I had taken vacation time to go to Hershey. Dad is now very excited that the babe working the booth at Lang's this year is - you guessed it - ME
If you're in the neighborhood make sure you stop by for a little Lang/Trish reunion time. Bring dark chocolate and beer, and who knows you might get to witness a Trish tantrum for old time sake.
I really can't believe how much time has passed since I got to hang with the cool kids. The new job knows all about my T people so the new boss is a bit nervous I won't come back. After a week of not having to manage me he might not want me back, but I'm willing to risk it to see as many of you as possible.
Who's going?!!!
I'm not going (still on the wrong coast) but welcome home, Trish, from one firebrand Fordaholic to another!
Trish its been awhile since we have heard from you, I've never been to Hershey and won't be there again this year but I'm sure lots of fellows and gals will be happy to see you
Looking forward to seeing you again Trish!
I'll be there and will be sure to get over to see you, Trish.
Best wishes, Keith
Trish
That's great, Miss chatting with you when ordering. I won't be there but I'm happy for you. Give them hell Kid.
Bob
Well, you can always come home I guess. I got a call this summer from a couple guys giving me the business for not stopping by here on the forum. I get on and the first thing I read - arguing lol Is everyone on here on blood pressure meds? Sentiment and passion just runs wild with T people!
I enjoy my new job, and the people I work with, but I'm so blessed to have so many continued relationships with my "fordaholic" family. I've kept up with emails and lots of phone calls but some face time and hugs never hurt either.
I use to cry to have go to Hershey in the past, but I can't lie - I'm rather excited this year. I'm taking my memories of Hershey's past with Bruce, Paul and Joe there in hopes of making some new ones to cherish going forward.
Trish,
You are ALWAYS welcome here. I didn't get to order very often from you but did enjoy talking to you when I did. I also liked seeing pictures of your T and even better you in your T! Got any new pictures to share?
Bob
Thanks Bob, but nothing new. I'm ashamed to say I never got my butt in a single T this summer including Dauber. Once again I find I'm in a job where men NEED me. The company I work for has gone through some major transitions so the only vacation days I took where to re-do my grandmother's bathroom and closed in porch. I finally work with a bunch of computer geeks who would put pics up for me, and I don't have anything to share. Ain't that the way?!!
I'm hoping it'll be like riding a bike, and everything comes back to me! Don sent me an email saying Bill would be there too. I haven't seen him in a few years so it'll be fun working with all the guys again.
it will be great to see you! i will give you a ride around the flea market in my T and maybe stew nite??
Hello Trish!! How the heck are you? Miss talking with you on the phone. I am trying to make it to Hershey, but don't know if I can yet. Hope to see ya there!!!....Chip
i
OK what is the date for the swap meet? Thanks, Scott
http://www.hersheyaaca.org/fallmeet.html
I'm so excited! I haven't been to stew night in 3 years! I so miss talking to all of you more than you know. You're the one group I could always be myself with, and never got put in time out for it. If you make it there Chip you better make it on by - hopefully I won't be cruising around with Doug....
Anyone have a Lang's catalog so I can brief myself on some part numbers???
I am nominating Don Lang for the Savvy Businessman of the Year award. Can anyone think of a better way in to increase traffic at a business site?
It will be good seeing you back at Hershey Trish!
Hey Trish - how are ya baby ??
David Dare.
Trish: I remember you saying something about that Western Bill crying like a little girl, and that is my story and I am sticking to it
Hope you have fun at Hershey.
Trish, good to hear from you! Hope you have fun at Hershey! Dave
Well maybe that Western Bill could put his big girl panties on and make a road trip!
Tom, I think Joe Bulger had more to do with me getting to Hershey than anyone. My dad really misses my involvement in the hobby. Going into the hardware store and being surprised he had been there before me bragging about how his daughter was mudding drywall made me think of his reaction at shows being asked if he was my dad. My sister is "Princess", but I've always been "the one who can use tools" lol. I'm hoping he's healthy enough to come too.
I've been working hard so it's time to play hard!
Sorry my David's can't make it!
Enjoy your dad while you can - trust me in this one. Time passes all too fast; when mine started to go, I realized how much time we missed together, and how we couldn't get that back!
When I got my dad's T a few years ago I began using Lang’s for most of the parts.
I felt as if I missed something when people talked about Trish, who had recently moved on, but I got good service.
A few weeks ago I called Lang’s to order a few things and the voice on the other end said something like, "Lang’s - This is Trish!"
I immediately felt as if I was talking to a Model T icon and the only thing that stopped me from ordering everything in the catalog was my maxed out credit card.
Bottom line - It was easy to talk with her and she gave me some very good advice.
Now I know why people get excited when talking about her.
My only question is - How many marriage proposals does she get every day?
Who said l cant make it ????,
Oh right, like the time you Aussies were going to leave Michigan in a Mustang to visit me in Mass for a day! That was classic
Darling Fred - marriage proposals?!!! I like to think men respect me too much to try to put a contract on my life!
Suzanne you are right. I've been very blessed to have strong family relationships. I thought everyone had 8 grandparents because I grew up close to great-grandparents too. Dad and I argue and say mean things to each other, then laugh telling other people about each other. It's just our thing I guess, but I'll take it anyday over being a princess lol
If any one has seen Trish ready to go out on a date she will knock your socks off. Trish is a very pretty woman. She likes to dress down and work on cars like the guys but dont let her fool you she is beautifully. Scott
Your going to have the Canadian boy's all excited this year, I think Rob is making his Lang's list!
Wednesday is always a good time to be hanging with the Canadians at Hershey.
Geesh Scott - no pressure huh? My mom always said I was so homely I'm cute
Trish, it will be great to see you again. Make certain to stop at the MTFCA site and say hi. Or we will be over to see you. I will be picking up some spokes from Lang's. Is Bill coming along this year?
Trish,
Glad to hear you're coming back to the cool T crowd, and hope you're doing well.
I spent the whole summer also mudding drywall, doing plumbing, and laying carpet at my sister's house. Hershey sounds like a lot more fun! But being on the left coast, if I was going to go, I should have started 2 months ago!
Take care and hope you have fun.
Well the Gorder's were definitely in my 10 top people that immediately popped in my brain I would be excited to see! Cutest couple at Hershey!
When I last spoke with Don regarding he did say Bill was coming! I've been working some long days to make sure everything is in order to take the time out of work, and haven't gotten to talk to anyone going since.
The only downside of Hershey is not getting the left coast to come join us! Do none of you own thermals??
Dang ,you aint posted a profile pic yet? :>)
Hope you have fun at Hershey.1 of these days I will make it up there.
Ditto to what Mack just said. How will those of us who have never seen you, know what you look like so we can come over and say hi, if you don't post a pic?
Trish
We on the left coast didn't get our stimulus packages yet and the trickle down economics stopped some where before it reached us. Sorry
were not there but maybe well get lucky next year. HAVE A GREAT TIME ANYWAY.
Bob
What is Lang's location at Hershey ? Going for the 1st time.
Bill, your in for some excitement and a lot of walking!!
Mack, I'm not saying that this is a picture of Trish, but if you see someone who looks a lot like this, you might want to say Hi and ask her if she is Trish. Just sayin'.....
How's Dauber doing?
Norm
Ok Trish, Will you post the picture of you with your son John? As you can see Trish is dressing down to play with a T. I like seeing her dressed up, She is lovely. Scott
Here she is writing out a four letter word:
Well, isn't this just humbling! I still say I look best on the phone.
I honestly don't remember our location, but if you head to the red field you'll probably hear me. I want to say we're RFP 38-42. Anyone remember?
I'm so excited I'm actually looking at pictures you all have posted on here DURING THE PATRIOTS game. Unheard of!
Scott - I think you're talking about my facebook pic? I can email it to you, but have no idea how to squash it down to fit.
Hi Trish,
Last year Lang's was located in the Red field
RCF 38-43 & RCG 38-43.
It looks like your extended Model T family is glad that you will be back to visit with everyone at Hershey this year.
You need to have your new boss cut your hours back in the warmer weather,so you can enjoy your Model T Dauber with your Dad & Model T friends.
See you at Hershey.
The other
Scott
