There is always a surprise out in the garage.
I found this today and think it is a modified Hayes rim. The sloppy cut and gobby weld look homemade but the lug and the flathead rivets holding it on look more professional.
Has anyone ever seen one like it?
Also, I have never heard of the "Durkee Atwood" inner tube that came with it.

A better look at the lug and rivets.
Durkee Atwood is still a manufacturer of v-belts and other rubber belting products as far as I know. Up to about 20 years ago they were still a big player in industry around here.
Hayes #110, very early production, they changed to a round hole in the end of the tab to use a screw into the rim that held the rims ends together more securely. This rim in 30 x 3 1/2 clincher was discontinued soon after introduction but the 30 x 3 1/2 straight side rim was offered for some time to replace the non-split 30 x 3 1/2 Hayes #100 rims we are used to.
Thanks Layden. I'm always learning more.
