A little over a year ago I was out in the yard a couple hundred feet from the road when I looked up and saw a Fordor drive by, headed east. By the time I got to the road it was too far away for a good look. I hadn't seen it since, until a few minutes ago. I was up on the front porch working on the roof when I heard that familiar sound we all know, and there it went again. It was that same Fordor, headed east. I hope eventually it will come by when I'm near the road and can find out who it is.

Steve Is the Roof done yet? Wet weather is just around the corner and maybe some falling weather. Get the blue tarps out. At least they will keep out the snow!

Wait a minute you in Ks get rain the year round unless it is cold and then you get snow, here in California at the end of June we do not know what rain looks like except on TV Oh the other thing we know about is the fire and it is not HEL*

Encountered a mystery T in my neighborhood last summer. It was after dark but one look at the headlight spacing told me what it was. Looked like a high-radiator touring.

It was heading East both times! It must have gone around the world! Do you know the day it went by the first time? We could compare this to Constantine's travel rate.:-)

I encountered a T pick-up last summer being driven by a gentleman who appeared to be around 80 years old or so.

He was parked in the church parking lot unloading chairs from the back for some function on the next road over so I pulled in to say hi. Even dove in and helped him unload the truck but I couldn't get the guy to say three words about his or any Model T.

I asked what year and he says, "24". I said, "Hey I have a 27 just around the corner!" He grunted something nearly inaudible.

I finished helping with the chairs, complimented his ride, shrugged my shoulders and left.

Maybe it was my breath, hell I don't know.

What you need to do Steve is to attach a cable to yer roof, while you are up there. Then attach a pulley to slide down to the street. Great for fun, emergency escapes and chasing down Phantom T's.

Danial ...
Nice of you to help, nonetheless! Unfortunately, we never know what monkeys are on someone's back, or in their head. The best you can do is try!

Danial, good thing you didn't ask what oil he uses.

Herb, that is hilarious. But, for all I know it did go all the way. Was the dirt on the T the same as local dirt?

Steve, be ready. One day he will have to come around again. I hope you spot him while you are out for a drive in your T as that will get him to stop for sure. Keep us posted, and I'll keep a look out here.

Steve: This maybe one of there relations living back there.
Hope you find him(or Her).

That's a good point Dennis. I'm not trying to be flippant or funny when I say this, but those chairs could have easily been for a funeral service or something - that thought didn't occur to me then...

Erich, I left a msg over at the oil thread...grin...

He was actually in orbit, but at the speed of a T it is a low orbit.

I saw a 15 roadster a couple years ago in my neighbor hood, I had to get some where else, then a couple years later it showed up at my place not running, as soon as I saw the different brass headlights I asked them if they where at this park years earlier and that was it. They thought they needed an overhaul but fifteen minutes later, new timer and coils it was having free starts, never even unloaded the car.

I did see a mystery here in Vancouver but it was on a car hauler truck with a few other "new cars". I was driving my T one way, the truck came the other direction. We each looked at each other as we passed and smiled. Never got another look. I hope it was coming to live here. Looked like a mid to early 20s 2 door, shiny black.

Since I work weekends most of the summer I try to drive one of my T's to work on Saturday or Sunday when the weather and other factors work in my favor. It is 15 miles from my house to where I work in downtown Denver. I am always surprised how many old cars I see on the way to work. Lots of Model A's and other cars but every couple of weeks I see T's that are not in the local club.
