Jay posted a wonderful old photo in March. I took the liberty of doing a painting from it. Couldn't resist the far off look in her eyes.
Rich
You do very nice work. Have you been shown or an amateur? I presume this is a watercolor as the lines are so crisp. Looks great, Don.
That looks great Richard!

Nice job; I first thought it was a colorized photo.
Very cool
Thanks. I mainly just paint for fun in the winter when it is too cold to work on the cars out in the garage. I posted some paintings on this forum last fall and winter. I use acrylic on canvas. I have shown some at our local museum and now have a broker in Hershey, PA who is working on some sales but I like to keep the good stuff and can't ask too much for the bad stuff. My wife printed a calendar with 12 of my pieces and has sold several of them. You may have seen them advertised in the last VF.
Thanks for the interest.
Rich
Is that a reflection, or does she have 3 legs?
Norm
Rich,
Very nice. I am sure we all would like to see more examples of your work on the thread if you don't mind.

Rob, here are 3 I posted earlier.
Norman, Of course she has 3 legs, she's sitting in a Model T isn't she?
Richard, Have you considered selling prints/posters of your work?
Gary
Rich -- I saw your calendar ad and ordered two. I'm anxious to get them (one for me, one as a gift for some Model T friends).
Hey, Rob -- Step up to the plate, Big Shooter, and order a few calendars. That'd be a good way to see more examples of Rich's work.
Gary, I'm not much of a salesman and there is a limited market for old car art. The calendars are going well and looks like we will cover the printing costs. Posting my work on the forum seems to be an effective way to show it to folks who like this sort of thing.
Mike, got your order today and Joy mailed it this afternoon. Thanks
Rich
Richard ... VERY good work! I especially like the realistic almost photo-painting! Marvelous!
As a fellow artist, I am most impressed!
Richard, that is awesome ! It's too bad that no one knows who she was or if she has family alive . This similar picture is of a very cute young girl in La Honda in San Mateo county, California .
I would love to see this as a painting , Heck, I would love to buy it as a painting if I can afford it !....... Dan
Richard, you never cease to amaze me! Beautiful! Dave
Another great painting Richard, when are you going to start selling them here ??
David.
I always enjoy seeing your work, Richard, and I saw the ad for your calendars---will be ordering soon!
Richard,
Please advise where I can purchase one of your calendars. You say you're not much of a salesman, but your work speaks for itself. I would love to own one of your works...I just don't know how!
To me, true art is something that touches the soul... and you certainly possess that gift.
John, I sent you a PM. The calendar ad is in the July/Aug Vintage Ford page 57. They are a much better deal at 20.00 as my broker says I should be getting 1000.00 for the paintings. The professional auto artists are asking 3000.00 and up for their originals. Prints are less but difficult to get good quality.
Thanks for all the kind words.
Rich
Many years ago, before photography recorded faces, people, and events. Artists painted pictures to be as realistic as they could make them. They captured a moment in time. Whether it was a beloved wife, gathering of friends, or a fox hunt, paintings showed us images of what was. Artists trained for years to become as good as they could be.
It wasn't really until after photography came about that such things as "expressionism" and other forms and representations of art and image started to become popular.
Richard Eagle, you are truly a gifted artist. I have looked at a lot of art over the years. I have not seen anyone capture a moment any better than you have.
Thank you for sharing.
Wayne Sheldon
Richard,
I just returned to the thread, great work. I'm glad to see you were able drag some moth eaten cash from Mike Walker's billfold for your calendars. I'd be interested in one for 2013 if your making some.
Rob
My two calendars came in the mail today. They are nice, with about 1/2 of the works being T-related. Nice work, Rich!
Rob, the calendars for sale in the last Vintage Ford are for 2013. If any of you don't take the VF send me a PM for my address.
Thank you all,
Rich
