Driving the TT mash forward pedal down to floor and hold, when speed gets up to let off pedal for high gear it sticks to floor. Then it releases quickly. Bands were installed before 1952 Time to reline the bands?
It might be the spring between the ears of the low band not stiff enough, or the link between the low pedal and the clutch needs adjustment. How far from the floorboard is the low pedal when it is locked in low? Maybe just 1/2 turn on the adjustment to bring the pedal up just slightly. If the band drags after you adjust it, it could be the cams in the hogs head or a bent pedal.
Many potential causes.

Its not on the floor, but close. There is alot of slop in the linkage on the side.
I had that problem with the T I recently acquired, it just required adjusting of the low speed band from the out side.

Also check for clearance between pedal and floorboard. This has happened to me where the pedal gets caught.
You need to tighten up the low speed band a little. The cam is riding up the slope of the cam and and onto the flat part. You need to tighten the band so that when it is fully tightened around the drum the slow speed notch is still sitting on the slope of the cam.

Check what Dave just said. The cam is inside the hogs head and can be seen with the inspection cover off.
Also, if the neutral linkage is not adjusted correctly, it can go over center when the pedal is nearly to the floor and will also hold the pedal down.
Yep i found it! Low band needs to be tighten up.
David S is right about the cam riding up the slope. I took the cover off and checked it. I will fix it the weekend.
Thanks yall!
For longest life, keep the low band as loose as possible, but obviously not so loose as to slip, or to go over the cam. You may already know this by now, but will risk repeating...A low pedal (no pun intended) is better than one that's right up at the top.
