Simplistic question bordering on stupid question but I had nothing to go by when I started this restoration. I bought the driver side seat off eBay and our friend Ken Kopsky made the seat perimeter wood. Even my upholstery kit people have given me mixed responses but my question is: Is the driver side seat CUSHION detachable? Can it be removed? If so, then does a plywood get permanently attached to the seat spring? Finally, the specialized fasteners - the seat front 'Legs' nuts that is screwed to the seat wood perimeter - are they mounted topside of the wood perimeter or bottom side? Thanks guys

Sonny: I looked at mine today for you. My seat cushion is removable--The wood is attached to the seat spring, and the fasteners go on the top of the wood and the front legs to up through the wood into the fasteners. Also,as you have already noted in another post, I added wood spacers on the rear to raise the seat. See you at T Party. Tim
