An in depth review of the "new" Ford Model T. This article appeared September 1908, just prior to the first Model Ts sold in October 1908.

If you have a higher res version of this, would you mind sending it to me please? I think you have my email address.
Many thanks

John,
Would you please PM it to me?
The obvious thing I noticed (in addition to the 2 lever 2 pedal) is how much "beefier" the rear end is than the 09 clamshell that appeared on production. I wonder if some of the first 09s had the rear end shown? It is similar to the NRS rear end.

From my iPad
Rob,
was there a page 101 ?
I noticed that the rear end picture shows oilers
for the inner roller bearings. Was this common in the early models ???
Bob
Gavin,
Pg 101 was an advertisement for another brand of car.
Rob
Bob,
N,R,S & K all had inner bearing grease cups.
Rob
Also interesting where the horn bulb is mounted. I've seen a few early 09 photos with the horn bulb mounted on the steering column.
Thanks, Rob. That is interesting.
Thanks Rob
Bob
I agree it looks like an NRS rear axle converted to transverse spring, right down to the grease cups on the inside axle bushings.
