I was just looking at a Brand X 1919 Touring on Ebay. The rear wheel spokes are twisted forward. Like the hub tried to turn, but the wheel didn't. A friend was looking at the car, and I said that the wheel really concerned me. It looks as if the wheelwright or whomever did not use the correct spokes. If all the wheels are like that, it could be a bad accident waiting to happen. The car is a 1919 Chevy touring.

What's the question?
I'll give the price of a new one for it, $490.
I believe that can happen if the hub bolts are installed through individual spokes instead of the proper method of installing them where two spokes meet.
I looked at the listing on eBay. The hub bolts are in the correct position on the front wheel which I can see clearly in one of the photos. I can see the spokes on the rear wheels and they are as you describe but the photo isn't large enough to tell if the bolts are in the correct position.
I had the same thing happen on my car after I did a panic stop. At the time I had an old set of what appeared to be original spokes that were a bit loose. Since then I have installed all new spokes in all four wheels.
Gee Steve, I always thought 490 meant 4 days on the road, 90 days in the shop! He He.
