How far down are the quarter windows on a late 1923 coupe supposed to go? They are the type with the slots and tab on the side to raise and lower them. A friend has installed them and they only lower about 3/4's of the way. Is that normal?
Hello Roy,
Our Fordor has a similar set up for the quarter windows as you Coupe would have. The quarter windows on the Fordor only lowers about the same as your Coupe. They were never meant to go all the way down. Regards, John
John, what year is your Fordor?
My 25 Fordor has notches from top to bottom for the window lifter.
I'm curious to see a photo taken from the inside to see what the regulator looks like on your car.......
(I posted photos of the lifter business for mine here a while ago but it would probably take an act of congress to find them again)
DAMN.......gotta LOVE google!

Graig,
Yes, Google seems to be the better way to find previous thread subjects. Our Fordor is a 1924 Canadian car as most of our Australian T's were. The lifter mechanism should be the same as yours. Regards, John
P.S. I have changed the shades since this photo was taken.
YEP.....same thing!
Thanks!.......
Roy, the windows on your old 25 coupe only go down about two thirds of the way. I am not near the car so I can't tell you whether there are more notches but it seems there are. Hope all is well!!
The window can only be lowered as far as the little rubber stops on the Rest ( Quarter Sash ) Pictured Below. Regards, John
