Kevin, that really does sound like some great service. I've got the spoke press but haven't used it yet. If I'd get off this computer once in a while I'd probably get something done on my cars. Please understand I'm not trying to be critical just curious. I've been told time and again Stutzmans spokes are half the price of Langs. Now I don't know how fast ole Noah Stutzman can deliver but for me that's really not an issue. But on 4 wheels half price sounds good to me. At any rate it sounds like you're in pretty good shape to start rebuilding wheels. Show us some photos if possible while your doing it. -Mike

Mike, I paid 10.50 ea. for these, the other two big vendors wanted 12.50 and 16.50 ea. I wasn't aware that I could get them cheaper but will keep that in mind. On the other hand, I ordered the wrong spokes, I needed 5/8" not 1/2" size. Bummer, gotta send these back for exchange.

How does one get a hold of Mr. Stutzman? I have a set of 21" wheels that need new spokes.

Here are some spoke press pictures. I found that a cardboard collar on the hub is handy to hold the spokes in place.

this is cool :-) im a young whipersnaper (22) and grew up with old cars in the family but just recently acquired my T. This is neat :-) are there words of wisdom for lining up the holes on the hubs either on or in between the spokes? or does it matter? I thought you were going to modify a bearing press to put them on! thanks for the pics! were they pre-finished?

Yes, I painted the spokes before assembly. Ace appliance epoxy enamel in a rattle can.

The holes should be between spokes. If you google "search mtfca: Regan spoke press" you'll find lots of info on this.

With new spokes i think you drill the holes after pressing them together if that helps you at all.

And each hole straddles two spokes. Never on one spoke.
