I had received a call from a T owner who said "All of a sudden I have a huge oil leak in the rear end of my Coupe. How big a leak, I asked. A T's seem to leak some oil around the rear axle. Yes,he replied but this one is a big puddle! Ok, bring the car over.
It wasn't long before he and his wife were in the driveway. The car was not running, it has sat for 2 years! It was still leaking oil! We pushed the car off the trailer into the shop. I quickly put the cardboard oil catcher under the real axle. Sure enough oil soon appeared. The creeper was rounded up and under the car for an inspection. Yep, there was oil on the rear axle tubes, the spring and all over the turtle deck bottom. The center of the rear axle was dry. I crawled out from under, opened the trunk and found the leak. An almost empty gallon of oil that had a puncture in the bottom. As I handed him the container his wife says "I told you to look in the trunk". It will be hard for him to live this down.
This was definitely the easiest leaking oil problem to solve. That was my day. JP
Oh you're right. This poor guy is never going the end of this.
Jack - By not revealing this poor chaps name, it proves that you are a true gentleman!

Keith: He shall remain in a state of anonymity here on the forum, but I am not sure his wife will give him such kindness.
^ I hate when that happens.......
To this experience I can only add: "Oil's well that ends well."
Ouch!
