I am beginning to restore the contoured front seat for a 1912 Commercial Roadster. It has the original upholstery with horse hair stuffing. The wood needs restoring and repair before priming and painting. Any advice on how best to proceed? I am working up the courage to begin removing all components for refurbishment. N. VA
Take lots of CLEAR digital photos. These can be blown-up to view details later if needed during re-assembly. Include every side, in, under and above. Get close enough that you can identify fasteners and still see their location in relation to other parts. Also take pictures during disassembly to show detail not otherwise accessible while assembled. You'll be thanking yourself later that you have pictures to refer to during reassembly.
