Not many pictures today, I wiped out in the trailer parking area (2" sapling caught my foot) and had sore ribs so I didn't do much except drive and eat yesterday.

Couple more from yesterday. There were lots of great images to be had all along the tour, the house shown here is one of many from the early part of the last century that could be seen if you were paying attention. These once proud mansions are slowly crumbling and being replaced by less interesting modern ones.

Great pics Royce. I think you found a house I can afford!

I would consider that house with about an acre of land. If I could get something like that cheap enough, I would consider relocating and spending the rest of my life restoring the place, and my cars.
And, Royce, BE CAREFUL! We don't want you getting hurt!
Thank you for the photos.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

Another roof for Steve to fix.

The house looks like it's located at about 1311 Mockingbird Lane, right next door to you-know-who!!

I've had enough broken and cracked ribs over the last few years Royce that I've finally decided I have a 90% less chance of getting any further injuries if I don't lift my feet off the ground whilst walking - do the old man shuffle and save yerselves! Stairs, that's another issue altogether!

Take care and stay well,

Garnet

This was our first Texas T Party Tour and I hope we are able to make many more. Thanks to Ross and Jennifer for doing such a good job of planning the tour. We were in the hotel parking lot trying to make the radiator shine a bit more and a lady and her dad walked up to ask what year our pickup was. When I told her it was a 1913 her dad told quickly told me that he was born in 1913. Then I told him, "We need to go for a ride". He agreed. We took a short ride of 2 or 3 miles and he grinned the whole time---lots of fun. I happened to notice his very worn Texas A & M class ring and he told me he was class of 1937---the year I was born (I'm class of 1959). When Marilyn offered to shake hands with Jack he politely bowed and removed his hat---the code of the West still lives in Texas.

Hmm, Real Estate Listing for that house:
Lovely two-story home with skylight views, two fireplaces, updated screens. Much potential, great home for the motivated re-modeler or first-time buyer. Won't last, get it now!
(Translation: two story home with holes in the roof, second smokestack, cheap aluminum screens. Needs tons of work and only a naive buyer would take it. Won't last because it's likely to fall down!)
Still, I wonder if it's too far gone to bring back.
T'
David D.
