took off rear wheels to put on new tires found the lug nuts are 3 differant sizes threads are same but nut sizes are differant what is correct, next, on dash the hole where the mixture comes thru what kind of rod and how far out of dash is it suppose to stick out mine is about 4", also inside choke,is my 27 suppose to have one if so where,,thanks again guys.gittin it closer.ran it again last nite seems to be clearing up,plugs ok i think it had some very old gas left in it ,gonna pull and clean carb tonite.

The mixture rods come in different lengths for different body styles.Sounds like you have one too long.Should only stick through dash an inch or so.Check vendor catalogues for sizes.If you have a 27 and it has correct linkage on top of carb,the chock and mixture rod are one piece.Meaning one rod does both.Again look at a catalogue,you'll see it

You can cut the knob end of the rod. The knob is held on by a spring pin so it is a simple job to shorten. So you can adjust it to be flat to the dash.
