Is this body a home made speedster body or something I do not know. Also the headlights are about 3+/- deep and flat on the backside. Thank you.
I don't know if it's home made or factory made, but it's definitely not a stock Ford body.
I just got home from picking this up. It is cuter than all get out. Going to be fun to redo but just can't figure out the parts of it that look as if it is at least a semi factory made body.
The cowling in metal, the center sounds like and is peeling like a plywood but appears to have a thin coat of bondo and the rear is metal. It appears that thought and work went into its making.
It looks to me like someone's idea of a speedster. And not too bad an idea at that. The turtle deck appears to be a standard '24/'25 Ford runabout deck. The radiator and hood could be after-market accessories or, more likely, from some other car. (They look a bit like circa '25 Chevrolet).
The body in between appears to be homemade. Especially the way the gasoline tank is molded in, looks homemade. Looking inside and under upholstery should reveal whether it was done "back in the day", or more recently (which could have been in the '50s). Look for things like fiberglass and Philips screws, newer wood etc.
Either way, it has interesting potential to become a very nice, and unique model T.
Just my opinion.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
Cool ride. Do you fit?
What's that coffin nose behind it?
That is really spiffy!

Best thing with any speedster is.......Nothing is wrong on these cars your imagination is the limit. I like it although I'm not big on yellow but it looks good as is I'd do a safety check on it and drive the snot out of it, providing it runs... It does run doesn't it?
Looks to me like a FORD turtledeck "married" to a home made body. I like yellow.
