I'm sure l'm not the only buyer who has come up against the words more and more commonly used " we cant get that part", so l'll start a list below of what l have found and anyone rebuilding a car can clearly see where the path for completion will stop........
-Early top irons
-early rear cocoa floor mats
-White and Grey tires

If you have these items on the shelf, please let us know, currently for two of the above the word "indefinate" does not help during the reconstruction..
David.

Original cover for the dash light

Original longer lever that goes on the throttle rod for the vaporizer
Accessory fender cross brace for early 26 headlights.

Complete 1926 Runabout and Touring doors
Window crank-handles for a 26-27. The ones out now are Model A
Tom I have a couple of accessory headlight bars for early 26 footed styled headlights danuser88@ktis.net
Are we counting parts that are available but are nothing like the original?
Hmmmm good question Dan.
I originally started this posting for items which all of the sellers advise are available, but when you order, find out they aint!!!!
Silver-plated headlight reflectors.
Chrome is actually illegal in many states! It doesn't reflect well!
I tried to buy a set of 26-27 brake rods a couple of months ago and they were not in stock.
Any type of crank handle, especially the later type with the rolled on sleeve. Can't be too hard1
Allan from down under.
Carburetor parts: You can buy just about anything for an NH; but other carbs, not so much.
has anyone ever been arrrested for chrome reflectors?
My wife's 26 Tudor headlights were nickel plated with a highly polished silver plate over the nickel ( the reason for the nickel as l was told, over time the silver will wear thru if polished to hard and the nickel will still reflect some )both for around $125-00, great job done and wow what a difference in the light.
"precision electroplaters" down here in Melbourne.
David.
Still Ford but off topic by a year. If you're making 26-7 brake rods, can you also make up some early '28 ones have an eyelet on each end and aren't adjustable?
Mike,
I doubt it, at least not in modern times! However, it does reveal how poorly chrome reflects to have a law about it. I do wonder how the supplier can continue to sell a part that is technically illegal in many states!
David, Around these parts good reflectors can be sent to Uvira for an aluminum plate over coated with Pyrex, leaving a reflective surface nearly as good a fresh silver plating, and better than oxidized silver plating (oxidizes in a few weeks)

Tom how long are the 28 brake rods w/ the eyelet, I might have some NOS? danuser88@ktis.net
Would someone like to cite a specific law about chrome reflectors in headlights? I wasn't able to locate a single one through searching. I also can't imagine a LEO carrying around a test kit to check the metal composition of anyone's reflectors.
I've had a set of chrome reflectors for many years they are in the second T now.... No they aren't brass.... Yes that is a negative... That they are steel. I guess mine have survived pretty well because of keeping them dry, I don't drive the T's in the rain.
But for the most part they still look like they did 10 years ago.
Ken, I'm still looking, but meantime, I ran across these provisions;
25804. Notwithstanding any other provision of this code, original lighting equipment installed on a vehicle manufactured prior to January 1, 1946, need not meet the requirements established by the department when the vehicle is used primarily for the purpose of historical exhibition.
Amended Ch. 723, Stats. 1979. Effective January 1, 1980.
This search is taking too long on dial-up, so I'm giving up for now.
AND, I thought this one very interesting:
Acetylene Lamps
25450. Any motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, equipped with lighted acetylene headlamps complies with the provisions of this code concerning lighted headlamps when it has two lighted acetylene headlamps of approximately equal candlepower mounted upon the front of the motor vehicle and fitted with clear plane glass fronts and bright six-inch spherical mirrors and standard acetylene five-eighths or three-quarters foot burners, not more and not less, projecting sufficient light ahead to reveal any vehicle, person or substantial object upon the roadway within 200 feet.
And this one is almost humorous!
Glare of Lights
25452. No acetylene lamp shall emit any glaring light.
This search is taking too long on dial-up, so I'm quitting for now.
T'ake Care,
David D.
