What did You find
Uuhhhhh, AAahhhhhh..............Cool items Dean.
Wow Dean, 2 spark plug testers? Ok I know they're for testing spark plugs but I really don't know what they test for unless you're using air pressure to test the seal on the two piece plugs. Am I guessing anywhere close? If so I think the autolite people need one to fix their quality issues. Otherwise I see stuff in your collection I'd love to have. Great score!!! -Mike
Would love to get the details on that coil box please.
No wonders I could find any Champion X plugs....They were all bought already! Looks like it was a worthwhile trip.
Mike they were used to test the spark under compression. Neat items at the rite price so I got both.
Erich. I don't know much about the coil box.
It is a Kingston 5 position the center being a master vibrator to power the 4 coils.
Erich, it looks like a 1912 Kingston Master vibrator equipped coil box.. cool

Ok, Dean answered himself Nice finds, there
i found 2 good solid 26-27 rims and set of hubs for 30 bucks!!! i also got 3 "boat anchor" rims with the deal haha
Bought a sandblasting booth from T&P tools. I hate being dependent and subbing out restoration work, so I decided to learn sandblasting. I'll get the compressor later.
If you have the time for it, shop for a compressor at farm auctions and estate sales. Yesterday I saw a 5 hp 60 gallon compressor sell for a fraction of the retail price. They turn up often at auctions and sales.
Those plug testers are nice to have. I had the coil rebuilt on mine a number of years ago and it works great. I just tested a bunch of of Champion Xs and 25s on it. Great Score!
One of the out of the ordinary pieces I found was this tire carrier. It is pitted, but could be cleaned up or used to make a pattern for another one. I don't know what I'll do with it, but the price was right.
Here are mine.
Rear fenders, 21" wheels and rims, 30x3.5 wheels, foot pedal for a cut out, nice low hood, New S-K nut drivers, 6V battery Tender, heat shrink assortment box, spade connectors, ring connectors.
All of this $256.00

Found several T parts was looking for, and some that just followed me home anyway
The 30" clincher rims still have zinc plating, the nickel shell is about the best I have found. Several little items, the top iron bow clamp will go on the Autowa, the radiator caps into the collection shelf. The sediment bulbs get rebuilt, one is an all brass one for early car. So pretty happy with the little parts loaded in the carry bag
The REAL find was a matching 'scallop' all metal disc wheel with 12 'spokes' formed in the disc. 30" clincher, front. I found one years ago and finally at Hershey got this mate for it!
Found on Wed at Hershey.
The mate I have had for 4 years
Now what to use these front wheels on? Thinking of a T doodle bug or something.....??
Picked up my radiator and hood from Snyders and an order from Langs. Best find though was a rebuilt carb from Ed Henline and a nicely restorable late '30s bicycle.
Dan,
Just think, in 28 more years at this pace you'll have set
Hope your not holding out for a spare too
Great finds guys,
Rob
I found two two-piece driveshaft tubes and ended up buying one. Since I'm still not sure whether my early 16 is supposed to have an aluminum or iron hogshead, I now own one of each. After years of wrestling with my touring's front door, I found one that wasn't rolled over by a tractor like mine was. I think my son really made out because he stayed home and I shopped for him and found some '12 parts he needed.
I now own the correct steel rear fenders for my Model A sedan and I plan to disavow any knowledge of the fiberglass ones that have been on the car for the last ten years. This was the first year I had the luxury of having a place to stash parts on the field and I took full advantage of it.
I was able to say hello to some fellow forum members. I winced when I saw John McLaren's shredded Carlisle trailer tire, and yes, I saw Trish!
Dan,
Oops, thought I read 14 years, not 14. Guess it's not so far fetched that you might come up with a few more soon (anything less than ten years seems soon now).
Rob
Sheesh, should say "I thought I read 14 years, not 4".
I'm going back to bed......
Well Rob, it just takes patience or ingenuity, perhaps I will put the two scallop spoke discs on just one side of the T
Now for fun, look at my other 'find' at Hershey
Never know what you can find there!!!
This is a rear frame extension for the T car chassis. It will make the 100" wheelbase into 115" long, less than the TT at 123".
With the extended wheelbase, can make a longer body or an extended huckster or depot hack? Going to have fun on this one.
Looking at the back of the extension frame, longer crossmember for the rear spring. Note how the extension goes narrow to fit to the car frame rails, the brackets midway fasten with bolts to the T frame crossmember ends where the body bolts would go.
The mechanical part is the 15" long shaft "coupler" with bearings and drive ends to fit to the engine, and to the U-joint end of the drive shaft. A heavy crossframe bracket holds that extension drive shaft coupler.
Pretty neat to me!
With longer wheelbase, bit more body can be added, probably will weld on 15" more to the splash aprons and running boards, add another running board bracket to the frame rail.....and have a long wheel base depot hack! Who knows??? Another project to disturb the spouse.com
Dan - I think that is what Frank Harris would call a "mountain wagon"!
Dan
You now have a 23 cut off and a ?? ad on, good going.
Bob
PS Spouse/Wife.com will survive.
Dan,
That would be a great "add on" to extend a Model NRS wheelbase from 84 to 99 inches for a touring body. Hmmmmmmm, want me to store it for you?
Rob
Dan, that camper is great! Details?
Ed, The camper is a 1968 factory built Arrow Motor home. It is based on a F-250 Ford chassis. This one has single wheels(but they are also available with duals). My father bought it when it was a year old. Some of the places he drove it were Minnesota, North Dakota, Thunder Bay, and Florida a few times. Still has a camping sticker on it from the early seventies, that showed he paid $4.00 a night for camping. I bought it from him in the seventies. It has been to every Hershey since. On the way home this year the mileage turned 98,000. The 390 engine runs super strong. You can hardly notice when I am towing a T behind it. It's usually just used on our spaces at Hershey. Sits from October to October and starts instantly yearning to go to Hershey once again. Someone always offers to buy it, but it is not for sale.
Dan T. Nice Find!!!
When did you find the chassis extension? I'll kick myself into next week to know it was there and I missed it. I was there Saturday....
There is a Champion spark plug tester on T-BAY right now, no reserve, here is the item number 190740161891 Bob
I found everything I was looking for and met many great people.
Some of my purchases include:
A brand new hood for my 14 Speedster
A full set of hubs for wire wheels
A Stromberg OF carburetor and the two piece steering gear case. Been looking for both of those for some time now
I'm already looking forward to next year.
Chris
Dan if you ever run into the odd spring wheel that I need please buy it! 5 lug 30 x 3 1/2 looks like figure Y's attached at top of each Y with bolts or rivets, need to look at it again, and also hooks to hub w. the bottom leg of the Y takes either front or rear hubs large or small drums, need one more for my accessory speedster project danuser88@ktis.net
Dan Treace, in your radiator caps, theres a brass one in the center, with a tag with 15 on it, do u know what that fits, i know someone with a cap like that on a rad. huge rad. just wondering if u know what it fits
I picked up a nice pair of rear wheels with drums for 30 x 3 1/2 clincher rims. Included in the $125 deal were two decent demountable Hayes rims. Quite happy about that.
Mike
As for that brass cap, don't know about it. I carry around a Model T filler neck to see if caps I find fit. The flat top brass one fits a T, internal thread 2 1/8".
Intending to use the brass flat top cap on this also found "Firefighter Boy" ornament, it has a thin tube in the casting, for appropriate fire fighting equipment Now if this brass flat cap is a rare larger car item, need to not do that I guess.
Plan to make use of this little guy on the radiator, tubed up to a water source to make this little squirt work
The flat cap is the threaded insert from a bakelite cap that disintegrated... I've got a few myself.
