Thanks for the link, Larry. That was good reading. It's nice to know that the rest of the automobile world is beginning to catch up to us Model T Guys' way of thinking. :-)

Wow, that's good to read that if I can "preserve" my old F150 and not fix the scratches and dents it's going to be worth a bunch. It's 9 years old now so it shouldn't be long and I should be able to sell it for six figures and of course the decimal point will have to be strategically placed.

"BARN FIND - ONLY ONE OWNER FROM NEW - COMES COMPLETE WITH ANOTHER FOR SPARES. All paperwork is with the item and the sale is VAT free. UK manufactured not Chinese import. Ideal winter restoration project, unfortunately during storage the colour has faded but the paperwork shows that the manufacturers original colour was green. This is a heavy item and will need collection or courier. Item is being relisted due to previous timewaster . Dimensions are: 100cm long, 50cm wide and 50cm tall, weight 25kg .No Reserve and low start price. Good Luck Bidding. ******************* I am being inundated with offers but since so many people are watching the item its only fair that i refuse all buy it now offers and let the auction run its course."

Depends on what you found in the barn. If the car is complete and runs, it could be more valuable. It is only original once. Most likely, however, there was a reason it was parked in the barn. Either it was in an accident which rendered it inoperable, or something in the drivetrain broke and was not fixed. It was left in the barn to be fixed when the owner got a round tuit, but never got a round tuit. Some cars were parked at the beginning of WWII with the intention of driving it again after gas was no longer rationed, but when the war was over the car didn't start, so it just sat there. That kind might be worth more if you can get it started and it runs reasonably well.

In my situation the T was put in the shed of a car dealer ca. 1960 as a trade in for an early Falcon.
Thus it was complete and running at the time. Being in a small country town where not much changes over the years, it was just left there.
All I had to do 40 odd years later was to replace the rotten band linings and cracked tyres to get it moving under its own power.
However, the practicalities of having a car that didn't leak petrol, have a rough ignition, and would pass inspection meant I did have to replace a few other parts.

Sounds like a good one to leave original. On our tours, we frequently have some rusty cars unrestored, and they get more attention from onlookers than the shiney restored cars. See attachment.
