I pulled apart my Kingston L4 carb on my newly acquired '25 Fordor and I discovered that I am missing the air valve (aka flapper). After some searching I haven't found anyone who sells a replacement flapper, or the shaft that it pivots on, or the cap that holds the cork bumper. I'm a machinist so I can make a new shaft and cap pretty easily (the screw heads are pretty torn up), but I wouldn't know where to start with the flapper. I haven't even been able to find photo of one. Does anyone reproduce these parts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim
Send me a PM with your address and I will mail you a flapper. I looked at my core, it's missing the other parts.
I also have a few originals, Bob
Kingston L4 carburetors are quite common. You can usually find a few in a swap meet. It's good to have a few used ones for parts to make one good one out of them. Keep your eyes open.
