Where do these parts go on my 1923 Coupe? Does any one have sketches of the interior configuration?

As you don't give much information to go on, is it a 23 or 24 style? What parts? This might be what you need;

My coupe is a 1924 type. I do have the Ford body parts book and the part sure isn't in there. Unsuccessful in posting a picture. Anybody out there with a 1924 coupe that I could Email directly?

Charles:
I have a 24 coupe that I had to rewood many years ago so not sure how much I can remember. I also did some rewooding on another 24 coupe. My email address is modelt1912@msn.com. If you can send me a picture of what part you are talking about maybe I can help you.

24 coupe

Panels

They go on the inside of the body below the quarter windows. The curved part on the bottom fits around the curve on the back of the seat bottom. These were used on the Type I and Type II bodies. They appear to have been phased out sometime around January of 1924 and were replaced with a smaller piece which does not extend all the way up the side.

Can you look for a body serial number? If there is one it will probably be located either inside the passenger's side door, stamped into the top of the wooden body sill between the rocker and the floor board opening - or - will be embossed on the passenger's side floor board riser (the metal panel which runs from the sill to the firewall and holds up the floor boards with the pedal slots). Also of interest is the engine number.

Thanks,
Dave S.

Problem has been solved, twice, it looks like. I forgot about the old posting I did!

Hope my memory improves with age.

Thanks fellows!

Well I guess my guess was right as confirmed by Dave Sosnoski. I was thinking they went under the quarter windows to fit the curve of the seat cushion corners.
My late 24 Coupe (probably really a 25) has the shortened version of the above pics that were used in the later bodies.
Thanks for the information update!
