I've been surprised that nobody posted anything about this Ross Steering sector. I didn't post it because I knew at least two of my friends were bidding on it and didn't want to jinx their deal. $2300!!! I bid on it a couple times but that is too rich for my blood. I was pretty sure it was going to bring at least two grand. I'm wondering who bought it and if they are going to repop it or put it on a speedsted or what??? I think this is exactly what Les Schubert is popping.

Wow. I'm happy enough with my '37-48 Ford steering gear with home-made 10:1 pitman arm. They are not rare at swapmeets. It may be larger than the Ross, but that space is unused, anyhow. Besides that, I have a Ujoint in it that provides a little crash protection..

Along with that, you need a brace so the frame won't twist. There are/were commercial brackets that go forward and bolt to the spring mount. I've anchored mine to the block/pan.

I can't believe what that sold for. I have one on my speedster, with correct column and steering wheel. Guess I got a real nice barn find.
