What's the difference between '26 and '27 radius rods and the earlier ones? Is there a right and a left or are they both the same?

basically the 26-27 rods are a little shorter and the later ones have a shoulder cast on them which eliminates the extra nut at the front mount. They have a seam and because of it,make them lefts or rights.HTH.

Joe, in Australia the later rear radius rods in 27 had a flange on the thread and only one nut. Earlier 26s had the usual two nuts to lock the front end of the rod to the torque tube. Left and right will interchange, but it is best to get a pair. There is a seam along one edge of the rods. This seam should go down so water cannot fill the rod and rust it out. This is the reason to find a pair rather than two rights or two lefts, one of which when installed will have the seam at the top.

Hope this helps.

Allan from down under.

The 26-27 is the upper one.
