can anyone help. I have a Bauer locking steering head ,model 1f 777162, lock no E24 on my 26 coupe. There is a lot of play in the head gears and I cannot see a way to get into the head without destroying the casing, any ideas
Is the lock cylinder stamped with a name such as Yale? If so, take the number and cylinder name to any reliable locksmith. It's worked for me several times now.
I have a non Ford steering head on my 1924. After much looking and scratching I found two square pins 180 degrees apart that I removed from behind with a small punch and hammer.
Hi Ray
Not sure if any of these patent drawings will match your lock
or have the detail that you need, but may be worth a look.
