Anyone know an approximate diameter on the large and small Weaver crane gears??

Approx. 12 1/2" and 4 ". If you need something more exact, I will need to devise a measuring method and get back to you.

Count teeth, add two and divide this by OD for tooth size in DP. You will need to know that anyway if you are making gears.

Example:

O.D. 12.5

48 teeth

50 divided by 12.5 = 4DP tooth size or pitch



The pinion might be 14 teeth and 4" O.D.

14 + 2 = 16 divided by 4 = 4 DP tooth size or pitch
