Interesting Ronnie, I found pulling the radiator out of my 26 no harder than my brass 16, hood off, top bar, hoses and the 2 bottom nuts.

Obviously I don't know how the radiator was put on your vehicle but you don't have to take off ANY of those things.......?
A couple hoses, the support rod between the top tank and firewall and the two bolts with the springs and cups.
Remove the radiator shroud and out with the radiator.
Am I missing something?

Someone did it incorrectly, what a bummer. Check the posts on rad mounting from past trends when you go to re install.

Somebody must have been real scared that the radiator was going to fall off or something to have mounted it way. If it's under all that what's the sense of the thimbles and spring?

If you have a '26 /27, the metal sheld, underlying wood hold downs along with the springs washers and cotter keys should all come out together, assembled. They do not need to be taken apart unless someone before you used washers that ere too big to fit through the holes in the frame, or did not wrap the cotter pins small enough ti go through the holes.

Here is a diagram of the order in which the front parts are assembled. Jim Patrick

One of the best Model T men in Texas is right there in Sweetwater. Look up Moody Thomason. If you can't find his phone number, PM me and I'll send it to you. He'll be a real source of assistance for you - real friendly and sharing kind of guy. .

You didn't mention what year your car is.
Depending on which year you might want to ditch the plastic fenders and get used steel ones.
Some forum members are sure to have some and they are on ebay as well for not a lot of money.
Whatever you do at least get the proper mounting hardware.
