This Saturday, here on Long Island, we were blessed with what was probably the last warm, sunny day of the season. The Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council presented a show entitled, "Back in Time Before '49." Those of us who showed up in the thinnest excuse of period costume (like my derby hat) qualified for discounted admission. There was a period fashion show, an honest-to-goodness barbershop quartet and some really lovely antique machines of vintage no later than 1949. And here are some photos of the festivities:

You're so right, Don. The Brush is such a little darling—so small and cute and playful looking, just like a puppy. If you threw a ball, that little car would go chase it.
