I bought this very early chain driven rear axle assembly a while back, it does have a place for the speedometer, I think the tubes may have been changed on the outer part, but pumpkin is very odd, might be a 2 cyl. car, any help welcome, Bob
Modern speedo drive???
Cushman or golf cart?
Maybe Harley Three wheeler?
I dont know, some restoration people say its early auto, I have no idea, Bob
Harley ServiCycle - neighbor G.W. Green used one in a Quarter Midget he built in 1955
Make that a Harley Servicar - more Google hits for that name than there is for Servicycle. Early ones had wires on the rear, later had plain steel automotive looking wheels on rear.
Steamer?
Looks too much like a Harley Servi Car axle to bee anything else:

The 1930's Indian Dispatch Tow used another design:
H-D Servicar rear end. The offset (and the braces) is what makes it stand out. Not old car, but betcha someone could find a use for it...
I love those "snow" tires on the Indian 3 wheeler axle...
