Does anyone know where I can get the 3/8" brass tubing and especially the brass sweat tees to solder up a new gas line from the generator to the headlights?
Thanks
Good question , I could use that info, especially on the gas lamp line T fitting.
Langs sells a copper one but cant find anyone who sells a brass one, as original...
Try Restoration Supply.
Here is where I found mine. Just grind and drill away what you don't want. McMaster Carr has the 1/4" half hard brass tubing in 6' lengths.
Tried restoration supply, don't have them.
I was trying not to have to do all that modifying. On that 09 that Gail Roda restored I see he found the original style fittings somewhere.
Can someone also confirm the 3/8" tubing size?
Thanks
It is 1/4" tubing, not 3/8". Copper 1/4" tee fittings are at the local Elliot's hardware store here in Dallas. The red flexible acetylene hose is 1/4" ID.
One of the last real hardware stores around.

We lost both our hardware stores once Home Depot and Lowe's came to town about 10 years ago...
Anyone else can help me out? Would really like to stay brass as I'm going to go to judging with this car.
Thanks
Why would you want those fittings?
From the carbide generator through the runningboard apron is the red rubber hose to tubing under car, to hose to pipe soldered to radiator, then to hose to lights.
Isn't that the way it goes???
I think this may be the brass fitting Musegh is referring to. This is what I see under my 1912 Torpedo
'09-'10 requires (1) Tee
'11-'12 requires (1) Tee (1) Elbow (1) Coupling
'13-'14 does not require the Tee or the Elbow but may require the coupling to the rear of the brake lever; I don't know.
