50/50 or 40/60 solid core. Use a good flux and wash off any excess.
I agree with Jack. Don't use acid core. It'll eat the brass. Silver bearing solder holds better as well. Don't get true silver solder, as that is more like brazing. Make sure the brass is nice and shiny, put some flux on it, and there you go!
I would caution to use a minimal amount of flux as the solder tends to flow very well. (It is tough to sand off.)
