Hi website savvy T'ers,
having trouble again lol i'm trying to identify a dashboard i took pictures of with my phone camera they are showing up on my thread as a diagram of a folded paper with a paperclip on it with .bmp & the picture size in kb. My thread is called any "techies" left on here last updated oct 31 also is it possible to change the title on your thread? - thanks
p.s. if I can't get the pics to download I'll describe it the '23 dash I saw had rounded corners at the bottom this one has square corners does this fit the '15-'22?
The answer is no. A 1915 doesn't have a dash.
Rik, I don't use a phone camera but your message states that you have saved it as a bit map. I like to save it as a jpeg to post it because it is easier to modify a jpeg image.
So save it in a picture file under MY DOCUMENTS and then open it with any picture management program on your computer. Your phone was not designed to be a true camera but read the book that came with your phone.
The phone company does not like you to be able to download images from your camera because they like to charge you for each image you send. I don't believe that there is any way to directly download a photo from a camera, it's called a profit thingy and they charge by the message or picture in order to make a profit.
If you do not have a program for images on your computer, simply borrow a CD from a friend with a digital camera and put it on your computer.
Then send the picture to yourself and open it up with your camera program. Then you can re-size the picture, crop it, take out the telephone poles and parts you do not want. These programs will let you change the pixel count and image size. It is easy to post a picture if you cut it down to 60KB which equals 60,000 little squares. You will find a tracker bar on the camera program that slides from left to right. Sliding it to the left will lower the pixel count and sliding it to the right will enlarge the pixel count. It works much like the color tint correction tracker bar on old television sets that let you correct the image as you viewed your T.V.
Computers show picture sizes according to how the viewer's screen resolution display has been set and not by what you send. If you send a small 2 inch square high definition picture it will display at the same size on a screen as a low resolution picture that is 9 or 10 inches square.
If you get a camera program on a CD you should be able to open you paper clipped image with that program and experiment with manipulating it.
If you send me the paper clip image at fhmhlb@verizon.net-nospam , I will attempt to open it with one of my programs and explain how I opened it up. I used to be a teacher and still teach from time to time even at my advanced age.
I do hope this helps.
ok how about the '18-'22 steve?
Rik -- Model T's began having instrument panels with the 1919 model year, when the "electric" cars came to be.
Mike, prior to then, many of the speedometer manufactures, offered a dash. Stewart had a metal one and some of the others had wooden ones, some even had a covering that resembled oil cloth.
There were some interesting accessory dashes for the '15-16 cars.

Stewart also had wooden dashes. You can certainly read the speedometer better if you are the driver.
Unca' Jack, David, Dave -- Do y'all mean like these?
These are two metal ones with a wooden one in the center. All are Stewart. The one on the right even has a Stewart clock added.
BTW, Rik -- These accessory Stewart instrument panels were for use on 1915-18 Ford open cars. I thought your original question was regarding Ford instrument panels, which began with the 1919 model year.
If I can't get these pics up loaded would someone mind posting pics of the '19-'22 Ford dashes?
I believe the 19-21 dashboards have metal tabs sticking out the the ends, and when mounted are vertical.
Mike,
Ya, those are they. I have one for my '16; on the right side it has "Stewart" stamped in it. My friend Lloyd has one with both speedo & clock--very cool!

anyone?
My software is screwed up so I cannot post a message with a picture. Is this what you are looking for?
Dave, I think there's another part that's supposed to go where that red thing is.
Not really Jeff. This is a pedal car. You just need long legs. LOL
I mean Steve Jelf. Where did Jeff come from?????
Dave thank you very much thats the one . I'll go buy it. What year is your car? I see that I will also have to find several brackets including the two at the side connecting to the windscreen
I'd like to meet him. People have been getting us mixed up for years.
Rik - titled as a 1919, but I think its a 1920.
Glad I could help.
