Can someone explain the difference between 26/27 model T wire wheels and 28/29 model a wire wheels?
Bolt pattern is different & Model A wheels have raised "ridges" between the stud holes.
No shortage of threads on that subject - Here are a few with photos . . .

And remember the early 28 'AR' wheels are different than the standard 28/29 model A wheels.
I saw a Model A catalog had new wire wheels. Anyone heard if "new" 26/27 Model T wire wheels are available from a supplier ?? Has anyone seen them and/or have them on their car(s) ??
Cheers-

Wayne,
Lang's has new wire wheels:

Wayne,
Lang's shows them in their catalog at http://www.modeltford.com/item/2881.aspx
I think Jerry Wrolstad may have a set, at least he was talking about getting some a while back.

OK Jim, you;re quicker than I am.
Thanks fella's...last time I was washing the wheels I noticed cracks in 2 places at the lug nut holes on the left front wheel. I'm thinkin' that buying another nearly 90 year old metal wheel might invite more cracks in the same area. Anyone else notice cracks near the lug nuts ?? I have them only on one wheel.

Snyder's Antique Auto Parts is the manufacturer of the repro 21" T wire wheels, I believe.
Wayne, those cracks can be repaired by a good welding shop. Dave
Wayne that is one killer looking car.
David,
Yes, that is one option that I have thought about.
Randy,
Thanks, it took about 8yrs to get it done !! Runs and drives very good. I especially like the Layne Warford.
