I'm finally getting a round tuit to post some pics of our fall tour a couple of weeks ago.
We visited Don Meadows' collection near Franklin, TN. Don has about 125 cars on display, and a half or 2/3 are Model T's. Here are some of our cars outside:
Don has been collecting old car stuff for a long time. Here are a few carbs:
I won't bore you with all the others, but there were about 10 or 12 of these showcases full of carbs, lamps, horns, etc. So let's get on to the cars. Here is a snowmobile:
And a popcorn wagon:
And a few Model T's:
A Model N (?)
A Model S:
Here is a mostly original "barn find" '10 Touring. Our host said it was all original except the radiator cap, but I noticed it has a later coil box. Still a nice car.
Here is a '15 Coupelet. When I saw the porthole window, I dismissed it as being a '16. But when I was going through these pics, I saw that this is a non-porthole top car which has had the window added. I should have paid more attention to it when I was there.
And a very rare folding-top '17 Coupelet:
Here's an original-bodied Hack:
And a couple of "modern" Hacks:
1915 & 16 Runabouts. (There were lots of those AACA dash plaques on the cars.)
And an earlier Runabout:
Don has lots of modern cars as well as T's.
(I like that one a lot.) I have lots more pics of the collection, but I'll move on. We spent some time on the Natchez Trace, seeing miles and miles of this:
On the way home, we stopped by a fellow's place here in Arkansas and saw his cars. Here's a '57 Continental:
And another Coupelet, not quite finished. He has the missing parts (windshield, lamps, etc.) but has lost interest in it. Ernie Romero did the leather interior and top. This and the Continental are for sale, asking $35K and $15K.
Well, I guess that's enough for now. I hope the forum format lets me post this many pics. If you want info about the 2 cars for sale, send me an email.
Don Meadows' collection is not open to the public, but you can make arrangements for a group to view it. Send me a message if you want to know how to do that.
Mike, thanks for posting. What an impressive collection!!
Wow, amazing collection!

Thank you for sharing.
Mike, great trip, i am glad to see that Don has finally organized his collection as it was housed in several buildings and some were outside in a field.

Mike Great pictures. Brings back a lot of memories as I worked on some of the cars when they were part of R G Reeders collection. Don is a true collector and a man I admire greatly..
Thanks for posting!
Awesome pictures Mike. I know why it is hard to find a 5 ball carbie, they are all in his dispaly cabinets! Thanks for putting them up. It is a great collection. Do any of them get driven or go on tours or is it mostly a static display?
