What a mess! Last night I decided to get the old girl ready for winter. Just a few little projects, drain the fuel tank and remove the potato valve as I thought there was some more debris in front of the valve, slowing the fuel deliver (there was). Soap the fuel valve to make turning it easier, changed the oil. No big deal.

When I went and change the oil. Here is where the mess began. Somehow when I drained the oil into my oil bucket, I must have bumped it when I was getting up to clean the screen as it continued to drain, about a quart down the side of the bucket and onto the floor. Luckily I had placed a large folded cardboard box on the floor under that area. Most of the oil stayed on top of the cardboard, but some had ran down the on edge onto the floor. It took two rolls of paper towels to mop it up and keep it contained. Last Monday I was on my hands and knees with citrus cleaner and a brush to clean the floor which removed the majority of the summer oil drips.

I guess she did not like me cleaning, and she wanted to mark her territory.

Lesson learned. Maybe at least a concrete sealer is in order.
