I thought maybe some of you would like to see another picture of Gene Carrothers of Huntington Beach, California's Torpedo. This picture was taken during one of the Colorado/Wyoming Tours. Gene and wife were parked on Rabbit Ears Pass above Steamboat Springs. The Pass is 9,423 feet and 8.6 percent. Gene's torpedo walked up the pass like it was on level ground. This is the same torpedo that is on the front cover of the current Vintage Ford Magazine.
Ahh The memories.... We actually did the Co/Wy tour twice and would certainly enjoy a third. I highly recommend it.
Thanks Dave for posting!
She's been a great performing car over many thousands of miles on tours without help from the vulture wagon. Although it has very little room its light weight is the compromise.
Always wish for the touring car.
Nice photo on the cover of the current V.F. too !
