Title Model T Ford being unpacked on Kempsey Wharf. These cars on arrival in Kempsey were still in the cases in which they were packed in America - Kempsey, NSW

Did they save the wood to make the floorboards? LOL
Four, maybe five, of those crates and I would build a garage!
Neat photo, again. Thanks to all of you who share these photos.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

Hello Dane,
I would think that particular Model T would have been shipped from Canada. Another caption that is possibly incorrect.
Regards. John
Strictly speaking, Canada is in America, as is the US of A, Mexico, Argentina and a lot of other countries.
John is likely correct in that Model T was probably shipped from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and not Highland Park, Michigan, USA.
Then there are the his n hers license plates that say....

If not used as floorboards, the crate wood was likely used for something.. who could afford to waste useful stuff back then (can we now, really?)
In Nyköping, Sweden Chrysler cars were built during the 40's and 50's from CKD kits shipped in large crates. Employees could buy the good quality crate wood cheap - they built garages and cottages, most of them stands to this day.
