I can't post pictures and words together anymore. Must be a windows problem.

What is this piece called that is triangular shaped and holds the cable for the brakes? Is it still available or would a pulley work better?

Thank you for your input.

Pully might work better but this would probably work fine if slathered with a good sticky grease. KB

I think it is from or similar to something used on V-8 Fords in the 30's or the 40's.

Funny you should ask, I just purchased most of a restored chassis, minus the frame and it has the same set up on it, it controls a rocky mountain brake style accessory, here are a few pictures, Bob
Sorry parts are still in a pile from unloading, Bob

I have seen one similar on a TT truck. The brake band was removed from the transmission and the device was connected from the brake pedal to large drum brakes on the rear wheels.

I believe the term equalizer is correct. Units like those were used well into the 60's/70's for cars with one long parking brake cable. Later ones used a similar bracket with holes on each end which separate R & L cables would lock into. Obviously the pulley system shown does the same thing.

Could be parts from an AC setup or even part of the original Rocky Mt cable setup. Here is some photos of the AC stuff;
