Does any one have photographs of 1926-27 FORDOR Sedan projects? I would like photographs of the finished interior. Does anyone have photographs of a bud vase and interior light switch location? What type of cloth was used?
Thank you. Dan Colorado

Dan, I'm sure someone will post one. I don't have a picture of my interior to post. The dome light switch mounted in the right rear door pillar between the door and the quarter window. The bud vases were optional dealer or owner installed equipment, but due to the location of the dome light switch, I would assume the logical position would be in the rear pillar on the driver's side.

I put the vase's on the rear window because of the tight squeeze of getting in and out of the back seats. I was afraid someone with a wide load might knock them off the pillars.

No flowers in the vases Don?
When I was in Germany in the 50s most cars, and taxis, had vases on the center door posts.
I never knew if there was a reason or just individual's desire.
It could become a fad if everyone reading this thread started doing it.
If the economy gets to where folks can't afford custom wheels, etc., they might start buying bud vases.

Daniel Chapasko:

Every bud vase I have ever seen in a Sedan is on the Center post right behind the front doors. Come down to Berthoud and I will show you two sedans with bud Vases on the center post.

My wife did fresh flowers for the first year, but it did not take long for that to get old so she went to Walmark and got some plastic flowers that look just as good. I don't know of any wifes that have not done the same.

Even all the coupes with bud vases that I have ever seen are just behind the Door on both sides. I have never heard of anyone knocking them down.

The loveland Swap Meet was a good place to find Bud Vases this year. I bought about a half dozen or better pairs and some singles.

There is a goup of T guys that have breakfast at Grand Pa's in Berthoud ever Sunday morning. Come down and join us. We have one from Loveland.

Dan, bud vases are a aftermarket item which means there is no Ford correct place to mount them. I didn't want the vases on the pillar because they were in the way of the dome light switch and also the rear window slide handle. This was my choice also to keep them out of the way passengers getting in and out of the rear seat. I've seen others that mounted them on the dash and several others that mounted them on each side of the rear window as I have. It is your car put them where you want ... as I did.

Don Booth:

I have been tempted to put singles on the dash on the open cars but was afraid that I or someone would bump them with a knee.

Daniel, Don't forget to make breakfast at Grand Pa's. We missed you yesterday. How did your sedan body turn out? I hope you have the 26 touring ready to go on the next Leaf Peeper Tour, or the sedan as it would be warmer. I finished my warm room in the shop since you were here. One small electric heater keeps it at 64 degrees. I turn every thing off at 5 PM and its still warm 42 degrees the next morning.
