One of the guys at our last club meeting brought this water pump. The pressure side of the oil pump fed the three main bearings via copper tubing inside the pan. I suppose this or one like it has been shown here before, but I did a search with no results. The owner said it might be a Stark, or Starks pump? Disclaimer: This in no way is meant to support or vilify a water pump. Just an interesting post.
Man,that thing belongs in the museum.
They were marketed under the name "Stark", as above, and also with a five pointed star logo, followed by a "K" and obviously pronounced the same. I have one of each but not on a car so I don't know how well they work.
What's very interesting is the example that Joe shows us. The oil pump is a gear type pump while the one in the ad and the two I have are vane pumps. I've seen several others and they were all vane pumps as well. Very cool!
Wow! "Improves Ford performance 50%." I guess I should put those on all my Fords.
that thing is better than running a z head and domes pistons all at the same time!!!! WOW!
Its like adding two more cylinders! Amazing what power the printed word has. There were probably people who believed it just because it was printed on a page in a magazine.
