We drove up the Kawuneeche Valley on the Leaf Peeper Tour to see the moose and took a picture of this Aspen, One of whole hill sides.

Dave,

An update on Linda's fall. She separated her rotator cuff. Surgery is scheduled for December 6, with about a 6 month recovery before she gets fully recovered. Doctor says she will not be available to pitch on opening day of baseball season.

Here is our car on the tour.

Beautiful tour, and we had a great time, except for Linda's fall.

Linda must have been in a lot of pain driving to Loveland. I hope she is feeling a lot better now. Let us know how the surgery comes out. I wish my side curtains are as good as yours. Mine that came with the car is nothing but tattered rags. I am calling the golden Needle Upholstery shop to get a quote today on a new set.
I am still having problems with the Coupe. It has a heater so I would like to use it some this winter. I think the reason that my coupe got hot coming back from Grand Lake is I either blew a
head gasket or a head. I find water coming up on the two front head bolts. I also am still having problems with my manifold clamps. I have been driving that coupe for over 30 years on a lot of hard drives and never had a moments problem until the Konab Tour last year. I have some 24 blocks so I just may build a new motor.
On the next Leaf Peeper Tour I have been thinking about going to Saratoga Wyoming, However I will miss staying at the Grand Lake Lodge huge circular fire place in the evening.

I forgot to say, I almost tripped at the same place Linda did. The sun was directly in my eyes and I could not see the step very well. The state should have a yellow caution line painted at the head of the step. Again, be sure to let us know how the surgery comes out

Dave,

She was hurting all the way home. The clinic in Loveland put a cast on her wrist (small break) but didn't think the shoulder was too bad. The doctor in Peoria did an MRI to confirm the shoulder problem. We met another person in town that had her shoulder repaired by the same doctor. Fair amount of pain during rehab, and at 6 weeks was given the ok to start doing some things with the shoulder (will be a little before we go to the Florida tour).

We are interested in the Leafpeeper next fall, no matter where you want to go. A beautiful part of the world. People don't know what they are missing by not going.

Sorry to hear about your wife, I've had two rotator operations very painful..! Long recovery to boot. Tell her the theropy is worth the pain, I know she won't think so in the beginning but long term she'll be glad she stuck with it.

Ron:

I am glad to hear that you are thinking about maybe coming back to next years Leaf Peeper Tour. Like I said above I may include Saratoga Wyoming in the next tour. I really enjoy Saritoga and like the old log motel real well. I will be sure to keep you well informed on the itinerary on the next tour. Did you say you were on one of the Colorado/Wyoming tours that did Snowy Range Pass? If we go to Saratoga we will probably do that again.

Dave,

We did the Colorado/Wyoming tour in 2009. Loved it.
