Did they make steel headlight buckets that went on forks and for what years I have 2 that appear to be Model T and just trying to figure out what they went to. When I got them years ago they had heavy grab handles bolted to the fork holes and were bolted to the windshield posts of a cut down Chevy truck.
Also I have headlight buckets with the single post and where it goes into the front fender support bracket they have a straight cut rectanguler shoulder instead of a tapered shoulder. I have been told they are 1915 and later years had the tapered shoulder. Can anyone tell me more on these items.
Sorry I cannot seem to figure out how to resize pictures to post them .
Thanks, Dennis
I believe those would be early 1915. Ford wanted to use up all the forks left over from the gas lights before newer electric light on a post. Not sure what months, but it would depend on the stock at each assembly plant. There's also a real possibility that the very earliest '15's came with gas lights.

Is the focus screw above the socket or next to it ? I believe the '15-'16 buckets had the focus screw above the socket and had the straight cut shoulders.
I'm not sure if it's been proven whether US production ever got the fork mounted electric headlamps? ..but Canadian T's did indeed get them for some time in 1915: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/179374/183251.html?1295627012

Here's a post with more fork mounted 1915 lamps. Mine had them when I bought it, and still does.
